Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: 50% non-refundable booking confirmation fee (50% of the total bill) is required at the time of booking in order to reserve dates for live-in pet sitting/overnights, 24/hr constant care, and daycare visits. The remaining balance is due the day prior to the start of the booking. In the event of a cancellation, the non-refundable confirmation fee can be be applied to a future booking of equal or greater value within 90 days of the cancellation date. Payment for constant care visits is due 24 hours prior to the first date of service. Cancellation for constant care visits with less than a day’s notice before the start of services will result in you being billed 50% of the total cost of the invoice and the other 50% will be refunded.

Q: What does a typical day look like for you while providing your Live-in Pet Sitting Service?

A: Pet care is my full-time job, so I’m able to spend the majority of my time hanging out with your pet!  Time spent outside of the house is usually dedicated to providing visits for other clients, but your pets are not left alone for longer than four to six hours at a time.

Q: Do I need to provide food for you while you’re staying in my home?

A: Not at all! Some of my clients choose to leave a few snacks or staple items for me, or let me use items from the fridge or pantry. While I truly appreciate the gesture, it’s never expected or required. I typically bring my own food from home or have groceries delivered during my stay.

Q: Are dog walks included in your Live-in Pet Sitting service or is that an additional charge?

A: Dog walks are included in this service at no extra charge.

Q: My dog is reactive/anxious. Are you comfortable caring for dogs like this?

A: I have cared for many reactive or anxious dogs over the years, so that’s no problem at all! If your dog takes time to feel comfortable with new people, we can set up multiple meetings so they can get familiar with me. I’m also more than comfortable walking reactive dogs. We can discuss any training methods you use with your dog on walks and what their main triggers are.

Q: Are you comfortable caring for elderly dogs or dogs who require extra assistance?

A: One of the very first pets I ever cared for was an elderly, blind dog. I consider it a privilege to be able to provide care for them in their late years. I’m also happy to care for dogs with any mobility issues or special needs.

Q: What household tasks are you comfortable doing while providing your Live-in Pet Sitting service and is there an extra charge for these requests?

A: There is no additional charge for any household tasks. I can rotate your blinds, take your trash and recycling bins to the curb, water your plants or garden, and retrieve mail and packages.

Q: What animals have you cared for outside of dogs and cats?

A: I’ve cared for rabbits, chickens, goats, guinea fowl, turkeys, pigs, sugar gliders, Guinea pigs, horses, snakes, bearded dragons, axolotls, fish, chameleons, lizards, finches, parakeets, cockatiels, and even a cockroach!

Q: Do you provide Live-in Pet Sitting or Overnight services for cat-only households as well?

A: Yes, of course! I believe cats deserve the same amount of love and attention as dogs. It’s a common misconception that cats require significantly less care than dogs. They need routine, enrichment, and companionship just as much as dogs do.

Q: Do you charge extra for medication administration?

A: Nope! No extra charge for that.
